Modern and Historic Furniture

The WoodKeeper is specialized on conservation and restoration treatments of historic furniture and structures.

We can undertake restoration projects or conservation treatments on either modern or historic furniture. Our approach is to understand first the history behind the object, the environment around it, identify any possible threat that would alter the condition of the artifact. After assessing, we design a treatment that is specific for each scenario, combining ethical approach, costs evaluation and clients requests.

We tend to use traditional techniques and materials for both woodwork repairs and finishing, such as traditional joinery or french polishing. Although we also consider modern solutions when tradition is surpassed by science and can guarantee better and long lasting preservation standards.
